Variation of Karen for a boy

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and my mum died unexpectedly 4 weeks ago. Her name was Karen and me and husband would LOVE to honour her as our babies middle name but he's a boy.

Does anyone have any ideas how we can make a more masculine version of Karen?

Karan is apparently a male name of Indian origin (Sanskrit). It means “clever, skilful”.

We've thought about her maiden and middle name but neither work unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestions! Gives me quite a few to chat to my husband about.

There's Carwyn in Welsh - it's not the same name but the pronunciation is similar. Means "blessed love". It isn't the same but it might still be a nice tribute. I hope you find something which suits. Sorry for your loss.
