What boy names do you love but are you afraid to use?

I love the name Cnut, but clearly not suitable for an English-speaking country for obvious reasons.

Ooh or Taliesin. But I'm not Welsh, nor do I live in Wales, and I already have a child with an unusual Welsh name, so...

I love the look of this, but how do you pronounce it?

I'm not great at getting sounds down in writing but the closest I can get is Tal-YES-in. So with the middle sort of rolled together so it sounds like 3 syllables rather than Tal-ee-es-in, if that makes sense!

Uther Pendragon. Although I think we would have actually been brave enough to use it, it was only because last DC was born a girl she was spared.

We have a Magnus too, and like a PP, we get a lot of positive remarks on it. I’m glad we went with that one.

Ignatius, Atlas, Sylvester and Woody.

Thank you! Love it.

Florian and Lysander

I know of an Olivier and have NEVER heard it ever since - this child is now 17. Mum used to get upset he got called Oliver, which is obviously a nice name. I guess it's French...

One I love is Dante pronounced don-t-ay like Dante's Peak, but can't imagine many would use it.

Another I like is Edison.

Sacha
Nelson
Angelo
Thierry (we're not French)
