Variations of Noel

I have a family member named Noel that I would like to name my baby after. Can anyone suggest nice (male) variations of it?

(had to put male in brackets because when I googled it I kept getting female names)

The way I pronounce it, Noel and the first syllable of Nolan are very similar

Whoops I just realized you wanted male names.
Noel is actually a male name. The female version is usually spelled Noelle.

What’s wrong with Noel? I love this name, it’s my favourite Uncles name, he’s Irish, if I’d had boys I would have definitely called one of them Noel. Love the female Noelle too.

Having Elon Musk as his name sake? why? He's not viewed positively and worse people will think the child is named after him.

If you want to name the baby after Noel, then surely Noel is the only name?

I prefer Leon to Noel and it does work, but would you honour a Robert with Trebor or a Margaret by naming a baby Teragram?

There's a few reasons I don't want to go with Noel...
I don't like immediate family members having the same name, so wanted a variation (e.g. If it was Kathleen I might use Kathy or Kate)
I find Noel a little old fashioned, the only Noels I know are elderly
