Baby Girl Name Advice

I’m due in November with a little girl and we’re struggling with choosing a name. We have Ada and Violet in the shortlist but I’m not overly struck on them as time goes on..

I like classic names, maybe ones you don’t hear too often but I know that can be difficult! Surname is short.

I think Ada and Violet are more vintage than Classic. I really like Violet though. It’s beautiful and feminine. 💜

Another thing worth mentioning. Violet is becoming increasingly popular every year in America. That can influence its popularity in the UK too so I would be careful with that if that concerns you.

I like Ada, but Violet always sounds like (and auto corrects to) violent.

You have plenty of time to choose. I prefer Violet to Ada.

Consider how the name sounds with the surname. I wouldn't use Violet if the surname is Cox.
