I love love love the name Benjamin/Ben but don’t know if we can pull it off with our surname which is Barry!? Thoughts?

Mohammed Sharif as a first name would be better

Benjamin Barry is passable. Ben Barry, which he will probably be called all the time, is not good at all.

I like it . It's memorable and doesn’t form another word or anything so don’t see the problem.

I think you already know the answer OP, Ben Barry sounds silly. Like a cartoon name or a Marvel super hero.

There are other nice names, don't lumber your son with the name Ben Barry.

Not that it will be even vaguely relevant to your son, but I'm sure Matthew McConaghey's character in how to lose a guy in 10 days was Benjamin Barry (and Kate Hudson was Andie Anderson)
