Eliza or Elena & middle names

Sorry, me again!! I’ll make this mummy last post on the matter. As I mentioned in my previous posts my DH and I are expecting twin girls.
We are absolutely set on India for one girl but stuck between Eliza and Elena for the other. DH really prefers Eliza but I’m worried India & Eliza might not match?

We also have middle names to deal with. DH and I both have two middle names, we want to continue this with our girls. Neither of us really want to tribute our parents or such in the names but would like to use Isabella and Arabella. Right now I’m thinking

India Arabella Camille
Eliza/Elena Isabella Lucette

Which do you prefer Eliza or Elena with India?
Any middle name ideas?

Elena matches India more IMO ☺️ beautiful names though!

My experience of Elena is how much it had to be prefaced with El-Ena, not Eleanor. If you're not both set on either first name, then swap for Arabella or Isabella as the other first name then you just need more middle name ideas, which are usually easier to like.

We would use Arabella if we could but our surname is hyphenated and both names start with S so her initials would be ASS, which just won’t work!!
I don’t love Isabella as a first name as it’s so popular and don’t really want them to share initials.

Are you truly seeking opinions? You disregarded the opinions expressed in the previous thread. Ultimately, choose the names you prefer. One way to discern if you like them is to envision yourself having those names: would you prefer to be called Eliza or Elena?

I'm never quite sure how to pronounce Elena, I've known people pronounce it Eh-layna and Eh-lenna (similar to Eleanor).

Beautiful names, I prefer Eliza with India, however it’s just down to individual choice. Love the french middle names.

The previous thread had mixed responses. Plenty were saying they liked and would use India. Just because you don’t share the opinion we went on to agree with doesn’t mean we are disregarding them.
Who knows what names will have negative connotations, I know of a lady named Isis is her 30s for example.
I think MN can make minority opinions seem very loud. There are many many girls in my wider circle with names like India and even India, most people will either think it’s a lovely name, or be indifferent. The minority who think it is offensive or don’t like it are unlikely to ever say that to my DDs face. If she gets into adulthood and doesn’t like her name she can always go by a middle name or change her name.

Congratulations, twins is a blessing.
Would you consider one twin called Eliza the other Alina? Or Eliza and Elena? I think that would be really lovely. My sister is an Emma and I'm Anna and there's something special about sharing a similar sounding name to your sister.

Are you sure they need 2 middle names plus two surnames?

That's a lot

MamaToAliandHar · 18/08/2023 21:40

Gorgeous names, I prefer Eliza that little bit more

Teeshirt · 18/08/2023 22:18

Elena is nice but you’ll have pronunciation issues. Eleanor? India and Eliza is a rather downmarket combination - sorry.

KayEmAy · 18/08/2023 22:38

Elena

AdoraLovesCake · 20/08/2023 09:40

I love Eliza, I know a little girl called Elizabeth shortened to Eliza and it's a pretty name.
