Baby name help!?

Heyy!

We think we (finally) have a name for our baby girl - Poppy.

Where I'm getting stuck is her middle name/s. I really want to honour my Mum's name (Rhean). I love it's meaning too (great queen). So we're thinking of using the more common spelling of it - Rhiane.

The only issue is I don't think it has the right ring to it as Poppy Rhiane. So I was wondering whether I throw my name in there too - so Poppy Grace Rhiane? Or is that too much of a mouthful?

Any suggestions welcome!

I like it as it is! Poppy Rhean … I think id also keep the original spelling given that its a middle and she wont often have to sound it out

KirstenBlest · 15/08/2023 15:44

Use Rhean as that's your mother's name. I wouldn't use Grace as a middle nmae. Every other Poppy will be Poppy Grace.

Poppy Rhiane is lovely. As pp have said, it'll set her apart from all the girls called Poppy Grace.
It's an unusual name and a lovely tribute.

PossiblyNotOne · 15/08/2023 17:52

Agree all girls will be Poppy Grace/Rose/May. Poppy Rhiane flows fine.

Whataretheodds · 15/08/2023 17:53

I would also use your mother's spelling if you're seeking to honour her.

I really like the name Grace but it is a very popular filler middle name.

I prefer Poppy Rhean or Poppy Rhiane. I think they sound lovely together, and there is no need for the extra name.

JellyDeels · 15/08/2023 23:49

Poppy Grace Rhiane is really clunky. I'd ditch the Grace.

Poppy Rhean is the best.
Everyone in the family will know how to spell it.

user1492757084 · 16/08/2023 03:51

Grace Rhean is also lovely

OopsieeDaisy · 16/08/2023 09:11

Agree with pps, I would stick with Poppy Rhean - it flows well without Grace thrown in there.

KirstenBlest · 16/08/2023 11:47

@user1492757084 , OP is called Grace.

Is your Mums name pronounced "Ray Ann"? If so you could shorten it to Rhea so Poppy Rhea (Ray) ?
