My brother has a daughter who is 14 and recently she’s been really down . My daughters are 18 and 19 and they have noticed it aswell . Her dad works long shifts and isn’t around alot for her and her mum is quite mean and very strict towards her and emotionally not there . Her best friends mum died around 6 months ago which ment she had to move quite far away and she has been heart broken they never really stayed in contact but they went to the same school and there mums were good friends aswell, a couple of months later her other best friend left and this has left her really upset her friend and her then had an argument about something and they have stopped being friends . Anyway my daughters told me that she is close with another girl who happens to be related by marriage ! And that my niece likes a boy and apparently they talk to each other occasionally on text and have streaks? (Never heard of ) but nothing has really become of it . My daughters encouraged her to join in with a group of girls from one her football team but they say she doesn’t really feel comfortable. I really feel sorry for my niece she is a nice pretty girl but nothing seems to be going well for her ,
any ideas on how to support her ?
