Is this a nice name for a boy?

Far too close to Ederson the City Goalie. Sounds like a surname otherwise and endless lightbulb jokes!

Ive met a few Eddisons and Edisons. I wouldn't call it that out of the ordinary. Not that's it's popular or anything!

Also, makes no sense unless the child's father is an Eddy, and if he is an Eddy then it sounds a bit silly.

I know an Edison. He’s Chinese and Edison is his unofficial ‘English’ name. I’m not a huge fan of surnames used for first names. Though Tracy seems to have made the jump. 😉

I actually quite like it! There’s a character in Corrie called Edison. It has a few nickname options too.

horrible name - because of Thomas Eddison, totally evil man, nasty thug and gangster who made a living out of stealing other people's inventions and discoveries. Hollywood film industry is in Hollywood because literally the entire industry crossed the continent to get away from him and his minions, who were trying to take control of film making by violence and force.
