Flower names for girls

Hello! I’m new here. Currently expecting our 3rd & final baby. We have two beautiful girls already - Poppy and Bluebell, and have recently found out this baby is a girl too! So we are looking for another flower name to go with Poppy and Bluebell. I’ve always loved Rose, however it I struggle because of the association with Rose West the serial killer (silly I know because the name and the flower are beautiful but I always think of her) Lily is also gorgeous but I already know lots of Lily’s. Any suggestions?
Other option we thought of is going for a jewel name as I’m named after a jewel myself, but ideally would like a flower to go with the other two 😊💜 - Please note, my other 2 girls are already named so I really don’t need to know if you don’t like their names 😹 just looking for ideas on what to call DD3, thanks in advance 🌸🩷 x

Delphine

I'd try to think of a name which would also suit someone as they grow up, become teenagers, middle-aged etc and not just cute young children (just my view obv)

Lilac

My view, too - I just posted the same. You don't name a baby, you name a person. Avoid anything too cutesy, eg Buttercup.

Lilya, Violet, Lavinia

I would advise against calling a child Lavender, which will inevitably get shortened to Lav or Lavvy, which means you’re basically setting your child up to be called a toilet for the rest of their lives.

I know a family with a Bluebell, Poppy and Tiger-Lily. She goes by tiger! It's awesome.

Rose is a beautiful name. if people don't use it, it will always be associated with RW (I have to say I didn't make that connection myself). Iris or Violet get my second vote. Or Lily. eek! I love them all (except Daisy)

TheDuchessOfMN · 22/07/2023 17:22

Lavender
Petunia
Daphne

What month is she due? Eg if it was December, Holly?

ginasevern · 22/07/2023 17:22

One of the female doctors at our group practice is from the Basque region and her name is Begonia which I think is lovely and very unusual (for the UK anyway).

Crummles · 22/07/2023 17:26

@ChocolateCinderToffee Delphine is the French/Francophone version of delphinium which is a flowering plant

Brawsome · 22/07/2023 17:27

Rowan is lovely.
