Sibling names - are they too similar?

I have a DD Cerys and am now expected again.

We have another DD name picked but at the moment can only agree on Rhys as a boy.

Is it too similar?

Any other suggestions? I've tried Ryan but (for most boy names) DH is not keen due to football references eg Ryan Giggs.

I think Cerys and Rhys are fine together, They don't rhyme or sound the same. I don't think it matters that that they both end in the same letters either.

No, the names aren't too similar. They've both got a "ys" in the spelling but don't sound similar at all and tbh I only noticed the spelling cause you mentioned it and I was looking for similarities. If you'd just told me your kids were named that, I wouldn't even have noticed. Lovely names, go for it!
