Really stuck on girls' names! We have a son Sebastian.

We prefer classic girls' names - what are your thoughts on the below names?

Isabelle
Isabella
Lucie
Sienna (is this too out of place - is it tacky?)

Are there any other names that pair nicely with Sebastian?

How about Lucia? Or Lucy but not mad about the ie spelling. Isabella is lovely but will inevitably get shortened. Rosalind, Clara or Martha perhaps. Sienna has a different vibe.

We have an Isabella in the family now known as Izzy or Bella so I’d be aware it will probably be shortened.
Lucie is lovely not sure about Sienna but never come across a child named this
( retired teacher used to visit multiple schools)
other S names? Sophie? Sophia? Sally?
Congratulations.

Sebastian and Isabelle is nice. I like Isabelle rather than Isabella which just seems a step too frilly!
I prefer the Lucy spelling to Lucie.
Not fan of Sienna and I don't think it works with Sebastian.
The only Sebastian I know has a sister called Ellie (Eleanor).

Sebastian and Charlotte
Sebastian and Chloe
Sebastian and Clara
Sebastian and Katie
Sebastian and Emily
Sebastian and Alice
Sebastian and Anna
Sebastian and Felicity
Sebastian and Martha
Sebastian and Florence

Thank you - can't have Lucia unfortunately (friend's baby). Clara is a nice name, thanks for the suggestion

I love Clara and Martha
Prefer Lucy to Lucie - he will always be correcting.
Isabelle and Isabella are nice but there are so many about. I prefer Isabel or Isobel. Less 'frilly'.
Not keen on Sienna. Slightly tacky and will date.

crabette · 10/07/2023 10:32

I actually quite like Sebastian and Sienna?

Also really like Sebastian and Isabelle.

Agree with others that the Lucie spelling isn't great and I don't love the name with Sebastian, and also Isabella will inevitably be shortened.

Feckingfeck · 10/07/2023 10:33

Margot?
Alba?
Elodie?

Love them but DH doesn't!

FayCarew · 10/07/2023 11:23

Isabella - overused

Belle and Sebastian?

I have an Isabelle and it’s a fantastic name. People say it’s overused but I don’t think it is. I think I actually know if more Siennas, unfortunately they’re quite unpleasant so negative associations for me. Would avoid another S name as it’s a bit too matchy. Lucy is fine but seems to be rising quickly. I like pp suggestion of Clara.

frenchfancy81 · 11/07/2023 23:32

Alice
Rosa
Rose
Rosanna
Anna
Lara
Carla
Caitlin
Sofia
Harriet
Agatha (Aggie)
Susan or Susannah
Lila
Beatrice
Elizabeth

Fivebeanchilli · 11/07/2023 23:38

Isabelle - ok but I prefer Isabel and I do genuinely know about 1000
Isabella - fussy and overdone
Lucie - Lucy or Lucia is better. She'll be constantly spelling Lucie
Sienna (is this too out of place - is it tack
y?) - in my view yes it's tacky and doesn't fit. I know lots of people like it.

How about:
Alice
Beatrice
Martha
Miranda
Cecily
Cassia
Dorothea
Thea
Tabitha
Imogen
Nancy
Rose
Anna
Eleanor
Ellen
