Does anybody like the name Shaan for a Muslim mixed race boy?

Came across this name and love it, but curious to know others thoughts?

I like it but my only reservation is that if it is pronounced like Sian and that's traditionally a girl's name. I know obviously it's a different name with different origins but I'd be wondering about kids etc saying it's a girl's name and so on.

I like it. I've known two - one who I think was 'just' Shaan, another who was short for Hashaan.
