Has to be elisabeth or Elizabeth with Samuel and rose.

SkaneTos · 02/07/2023 22:48

They are all lovely, but my favourite is Hazel.

cheesenotoast · 02/07/2023 22:48

My Mums sister was Elisabeth, spell that way because it apparently looked nicer written that way ( English , born in the 1940s )
MIl was Hazel
All 3 names are lovely I would vote

Elisabeth

Elizabeth. (With a Z in it not an S.)

Not Hazel. Very frumpy name for a little girl IMO.

Hazel

Melissa. Will be shortened to Mel, though.

TrueScrumptious · 02/07/2023 22:54

Elisabeth by a long way.
Then Melissa.
Hazel not at all.

I know some people shorten Melissa to Mel. But my friend's daughter is called Melissa (born early 1990s.) Has always been called Missy. Not really any better! 😆

shoopshoopdedoo · 02/07/2023 23:04

Elizabeth

I like Hazel best (and I like Heather, which I think has a similar vibe).

I know 2 lovely Melissa's, both Australian. One sometimes shortened to Mel, the other Missy. I like it.

I like Elspeth and Elsie more than Elizabeth - it's a bit too formal and long for me.

Hazel

tourdefrance · 02/07/2023 23:11

Hazel

like Elizabeth too but if you spell it with an S and she grows up in the uk she will spend her life correcting the spelling. Trust me, that gets boring very quickly.

ReginaPerrin · 02/07/2023 23:12

Hazel.

Viviennemary · 02/07/2023 23:18

I like Hazel and Elisabeth. Not too keen on Melissa but its ok.

MrsTwiggy · 02/07/2023 23:21

In the minority here it seems, but I really love the name Melissa! I think it's gorgeous, and I love Mel as a nickname too

TiaraBoo · 02/07/2023 23:22

Elisabeth is my favourite.

Snugglemonkey · 02/07/2023 23:51

I don't think Melissa goes with Rose and Samuel. I love Hazel and like Elisabeth. In my head, a Hazel should be brown or red headed. I'd dd did not have a name representing my culture, I would have been tempted toward Hazel.

Coffeeandcakemum · 03/07/2023 00:08

Hazel

apapuchi · 03/07/2023 00:21

Hazel. Reminds me of Hazel's Amazing Mother aka the best children's book ever. Buttercream roses... maybe just me!

Also love Melissa, actually, and Elisabeth or Elizabeth also lovely so I'd say you are good all round whatever you choose.
