I read Calihan as Caliban to start with.

Could be a sibling for Mae, Heath, Cameryn and Blaire

I only know it from the Bucket List Family too. Iirr they did a video about why they chose the name at some point.

I think it's an English form of an Irish name.

EllaRaines · 30/06/2023 13:40

I can only think of Dirty Harry.

I do quite like it though but only as an adult. I can't imagine a small child being called it and would have to nickname them Dirty Harry.

The normal spelling is Callaghan (as in James Callaghan, former PM).

KirstenBlest · 30/06/2023 19:44

Hence my spellings of May, Cameron and Blair Smile

I also read it as Caliban. Personally I would avoid it, as there are a whole load of non-problematic names to choose from.

I know a little Callan if that’s easier?

CatsOnTheChair · 30/06/2023 20:06

If it's a serious suggestion, make sure you don't have a surname that can also be a first name.
Calihan James is likely to be called James, and it assumed the names have been transcribed incorrectly.

It's an Irish surname , so not a first name at all
