Clara is pretty and goes with the vibe of your other two children's names.

Edward Green sounds good as well.

It's a good shortlist to choose from.

LyraLupin · 28/06/2023 15:50

I like Alice and Edward

Seconded.

I think all your shortlist names are lovely!

My favourites are Alice, Clara and Samuel.

Mumofgirls2017 · 28/06/2023 16:42

With your others I’d pick Anna, Alice or Charlotte; Samuel or Harry. My favourites are Alice, Clara, Matilda, Edward and Harry.

Fivemoreminutes1 · 28/06/2023 20:24

I love all your names but Emily and Eleanor sounds a bit of a mouthful.

confusedlots · 28/06/2023 20:26

Clara for a girl.I know it's not on your list but Peter for a boy.

OopsieeDaisy · 28/06/2023 22:32

Great shortlist, really nice names! For me, Matilda and George don’t flow as well with Emily and James or with Green, and although I like Clara it always seems a little clunky to me - I prefer Cara.
Best sounding ones to me are Alice, Charlotte, Edward and Samuel.

LauraIVF26 · 28/06/2023 22:43

1st choices - Alice & Harry
2nd - Matilda & Samuel

Tigger35 · 29/06/2023 00:10

All great names, personally I would avoid having 2/3 with the same initial so would avoid Eleanor or Edward for that reason.

bumbledeedum · 29/06/2023 00:14

I know a Emily and a James with a William sibling.

HedgehogB · 29/06/2023 00:18

why do names have to ‘go together’? I’m one of 5 children, we have the most random selection of names and we are all individuals. Not ‘matching’ items like a three piece suite. Baffled.

Groutyonehereagain · 29/06/2023 00:25

I like Anna and Edward.

continentallentil · 29/06/2023 20:00

Clara and Edward

I feel like out of all of your siblings you got the short straw. Who calls their kid 'Baffled' for goodness sake!?

shoopshoopdedoo · 29/06/2023 20:45

I like all of your choices!

Love Alice and Anna for a girl
Love George, Edward and Harry for a boy

mathanxiety · 29/06/2023 21:36

Alice - goes nicely with Emily and James and also goes with the surname.
Anna - Anna Green is too close to Angry and also Gangrene.
Matilda - I think it;s a little too boho for Emily and James.
Charlotte - goes well with Emily and James and also goes with the surname.
Eleanor - a bit matchy with Emily but goes well with James, and with the surname.
Clara - a little too retro for Emily and James, but goes well with the surname.

From your list, Alice and Charlotte are the best imo.

George - I don't like 'George Green' for some reason that I can't put my finger on.
Edward - Edward Green doesn't trip easily off the tongue.
Samuel - goes well with Emily and James and also with the surname.
Harry - goes well with Emily and James and with the surname. I'd use the formal Henry on the BC and Harry as a NN.

Samuel and Harry/Henry from your boy list.
