Friend is expecting boy/girl twins in August and still undecided on a names. She particularly likes (not necessarily together!)

Maxwell & Rosa

Does that work with her surname? She thinks Maxwell Pell is a bit of a mouthful and Rosa Pell reminds her of Rosabelle… what do you think?

I don’t think Maxwell Pell works - the ends are too similar. Maximilian (or just Max) sound fine though.

I like Rosa Pell. The rhythm is different to Rosabelle, and it’s not a bad association anyway.

"Gemma" - saves you time when you go to France.

Agree Maxwell doesn't work. I don't think Rosa does either, it sounds a bit like Rosabel. Rose Pell makes me think of rose petal. A longer Rose name may work - Rosalind or Rosamund?

I would avoid a name ending in s so it doesn't morph with pell and sound like spell. Names beginning with S too in case shortened to S Pell. Same with names ending in 'la' like Isla and Orla so it doesn't morph into 'lapel'.

Maxwell Pell sounds to much. But the name will be shortened to max so max Pell sounds great. Rosa goes well too.

I personally don't think either of these names work. Maxwell Pell isn't any good as the 'well' and 'Pell' rhyme and I agree with you that Rosa Pell sounds like Rosabelle.
What about just Max or Maximus and Rose or Rosie?
