Hannah Katie

Or

Katie Hannah

Both are on our shortlist singularly and we agreed previously that baby will have my maiden name as a middle name but to comprise would we be giving too many names if baby is a girl. Such a minefield 🤯

Hannah Katie. Katie is quite juvenile in feel and doesn't suit as a first official name.

Unless you make it Katherine Hannah /Catherine Hannah and use Katie as a nickname whilst she's young.

2chocolateoranges · 21/06/2023 00:17

I’d go for Hannah Kate, Hannah Katie seems a bit of a mouthful.

Landndialamrhf · 21/06/2023 00:19

Katherine Hannah is lovely
Hannah or Katherine alone are lovely
I don’t think Katie Hannah or Hannah Katie work and I don’t love Katie unless it’s a nn

im not sure about your other question, do you mean are two middle names too much? No. But also why bother unless the names mean something to you, no one will ever know or hear them. Obviously that’s your choice though!

I know successful Katie's in their 20s, 30s and 60s. All Katie, no Katherine.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 21/06/2023 00:23

I prefer Katie but with a different middle name.
If you choose Hannah then Kate sounds better with it.

pregnancyrollercoaster · 21/06/2023 00:36

Yes it was the having 2 middle names rather than first / middle / surname convention - apologies pregnancy brain fog 😶‍🌫️ is strong tonight mixed in with insomnia 😴

On birth certificate it would be Katie if we went for it anywhere in their name rather than Catherine as there is an aunt on DH side who is Catherine.

Hannah is a lovely name. Agree Katie is a nickname so put it in the middle. Kate flows more nicely though and is prettier, and more elegant.

PickledScrump · 21/06/2023 08:19

its quite common to have 2 middle names so if you want two then have them. Kate works much better than Katie. Works much better whichever way round you have the names too

shakeitoffsis · 21/06/2023 08:36

Very dull

DuchessOfSausage · 21/06/2023 08:37

Hannah and Katie are both nice but I'd use Katie Hannah or Hannah Kate.
Which sounds better, Katie Surname or Hannah Surname?

PurpleChrayne · 21/06/2023 08:38

Very 90s.

Hannah Catherine.

Bookworm12345 · 21/06/2023 09:40

I love Hannah Katie and it's been at the top of my list recently, but the full name would ideally be Hannah Katherine Elizabeth. I also love Hannah Beatrice.

RuthW · 21/06/2023 12:09

Catherine Hannah is lovely

Theoldwoman · 21/06/2023 13:43

Not a fan of Katie, sounds too young for a grown woman, so Hannah Katie gets my vote.

However, I love Kate, so would go Kate Hannah.

BinkyBeaufort · 21/06/2023 14:46

Hannah Katherine

bloodyeffinnora · 21/06/2023 14:52

Katie hannah sounds lovely

Whatisityoucantface · 21/06/2023 15:52

1988 is calling and wants it’s names back!

Whatisityoucantface · 21/06/2023 15:54

They’re both nice enough names and I don’t think it matter which way round, just pick the first name you like the most as they won’t go by their middle name. So do you prefer Hannah or Katie?

ThursdayFreedom · 21/06/2023 16:01

Katie is nice & I know 'older' Katie's , it's not juvenile at all.

they're fine either way around and not 'too' much with your maiden name as a second middle name (depending on what it is 😂)

really I think it just comes down to which you prefer as her first name. Middle names aren't used much. (I like both)

DuchessOfSausage · 21/06/2023 17:31

Not a fan of Katie, sounds too young for a grown woman,
Katie Melua
Katie Piper
Katie Boulter
Katie Taylor
Katie Archibald
Katie Hopkins
Katie Boyle
Katy Perry
Katy Wix...

pregnancyrollercoaster · 21/06/2023 18:49

Thanks all it's really appreciated even the comments about the names being 80's/90's 🤨 (probably shows my age 😆)

Hannah / maiden name / surname has much better flow to it than

Katie / maiden name / surname in my opinion

Love that you included Katie Hopkins in there to sell the name 🤣

fairycupcakes · 21/06/2023 23:15

Katie Hannah much prefer Catherine with Kate or Katie as a nn but understand it’s Katie that you prefer. Hannah is incredibly dull so for that reason Katie Hannah

pregnancyrollercoaster · 22/06/2023 00:14

🤔 I'm curious as a few people have commented saying Hannah is a dull / boring name and I wondered why 💜

When I think of a Hannah I see a strong but caring person?

Katharine Hannah nn Katie / Kate

Or whatever variation of Katharine you like, obviously. I love Kate but Katie too babyish as a full name
