Bernie. Works for a boy or a girl. 😀

DuchessOfSausage · 27/06/2023 14:18

It does. I quite like Bernard, Berenice and Bernadette

And the obvious (but I'd forgotten) Eddy Grant.

The very handsome Patrick (Sewing Bee) comes to mind.

Anything that cant be a surname .

Absolutely this! Lewis Grant or Grant, Lewis on registers, emails etc just gets confusing! I have a colleague who has two first/surnames and people are constantly mixing his name up because our system records surname first. I’d go with something that’s very obviously a first name.

melodygrant · 27/06/2023 21:12

Mellie....Fitzgerald

Calliopespa · 10/10/2025 15:09

Duncan Grant!

I think Toby works well but other than that I don't see it as a particularly tricky surname.

Actually I was going to say similar, that it doesn't take a surnamey name well, but then I couldn't see why it shouldn't except I guess it is because Grant can be a first name.

So not Grant Grant!

But for that reason I wondered about Harrison.
