I would go with Tristan, Tristram is going to be misheard as it anyway (depending on your local accent etc).

KirstenBlest · 20/06/2023 12:46

Both are fine. Tristram makes me think of Tristram Hunt, which is not a bad association.

Dildoslag · 20/06/2023 14:29

Tristram is quite hard to say and will just be misheard as Tristan

PickledScrump · 20/06/2023 14:35

Tristan is lovely, Tristram is clunky

It’s OK but think you are going to be spelling it out constantly

WhisperingAutistic · 20/06/2023 19:03

I prefer Tristan. Tristram will get misheard as Tristan anyway.

ThePersistenceOfMammories · 20/06/2023 19:40

I’m not a fan of either tbh. Tristan means sorrow and melancholy and Tristram is a bit of a mouthful.

what about Osian or Macsen?

pictoosh · 20/06/2023 19:50

Tristram doesn't flow as well. Tristan is a nice name.

Kiswahili · 20/06/2023 20:04

Tristan all the way.

OopsieeDaisy · 20/06/2023 22:15

Tristram is very clunky. Not a huge fan of Tristan but there’s nothing wrong with it, just not my taste.

continentallentil · 20/06/2023 23:10

I like Tristram much better.

Is it Cornish? I feel like he should be in Poldark

SunnyFog · 21/06/2023 06:26

Thorsten is similar, but I prefer Tristram.

Inspired from your list of Tristan and Tristram, l prefer
Thorsten, Patrick and Christopher..

Does he have an older brother called Seigfried?
