Currently have a 2.5 year old Stanley, expecting a little girl.

These are my top choices but I'm finding it really stressful to choose. Any advice on the names, like/hate/experiences would be greatly appreciated please!

Felicity
Charlotte
Beatrice (Bea)
Loretta (Etta)
Philippa (Pippa, Pip)
Lucinda (Lucy)
Kirsty
Helena
Eleanor (Ellie)
Katherine
Adelaide
Margot

Thank you so much xx

Stanley and...Etta, Martha, Adelaide, Margot.
Personally wouldn't have any ending with ie or y, Stanley and Ellie etc... that's just how it sounds to my ear though.

Some lovely names on your list. Love Stanley.

I think Adelaide would go well as it's got the same that vintage vibe.

I like Katherine, Helena, Martha and Margot too.
I don't much like Etta, it sounds very trendy and I think it will date.

What about
Ellen
Faye
Veronica
Maud

Pressthespacebar · 18/06/2023 20:57

I have a Stanley and his next oldest sister is Mabel, I think they go nicely together.

Bit surprised nobody’s suggested Olivia yet. You could have Stan & Ollie.

OopsieeDaisy · 19/06/2023 11:29

Stanley and Charlotte go nicely together. I love Bea but I find it tends to sound odd when spoken together with a middle or surname.
Really not keen on Loretta, Philippa, Helena or Eleanor and I don’t think Adelaide goes that well with Stanley, they just seem a different style to me.

Theoldwoman · 19/06/2023 12:08

I love Charlotte from your list.

Stanley and Charlotte.

Some suggestions:

Stanley and Isobel
Stanley and Lucille
Stanley and Genevieve
Stanley and Frances
