Identical Twin Boys

KIWI2023 · 16/06/2023 19:50

Hello all!

Currently 17 weeks pregnant with identical twin boys and struggling on the names front.

We have decided on Luca (we love it but understand names are personal preference) for one of them but the second we cannot decide.

I like:
-Mason
-Freddie
-Charlie

Husband likes:
-Hugo
-Oscar
-Noah

We want something not too common but also not too out there and have a two syllable surname.

Any suggestions would be appreciated !! 😊

Joseph and Patrick.

Luca and Noah
Luca and Hugo

I like your dh's choices better !

Luca and Jack ?

SkaneTos · 16/06/2023 19:56

Congratulations!
Luca is great name.

I think Luca and Freddie sounds nice, or Luca and Hugo.

Amdone123 · 16/06/2023 19:57

Luca and Joel ( just realised Jack is quite popular !)

Do you like Seth ?

IggyAce · 16/06/2023 19:57

Luca and Hugo

Luca & Otis
Luca & Stefan

MotherIand · 16/06/2023 19:58

Hugo goes best with Luca, imo.

cocksstrideintheevening · 16/06/2023 19:59

Mine were meant to be boys and they were going to be Jack and Hugo. They were girls!

WhatAmIDoingWrong123 · 16/06/2023 19:59

Luca goes best with Hugo for me, but I much much much prefer Freddie and Noah or Freddie and Charlie.

bossybloss · 16/06/2023 20:00

Please don’t use William (Bill) and Benjamin (Ben ) like a friend of mine did about 20 years ago! 😂

orangegato · 16/06/2023 20:05

Evan and Eden or Ethan.

tweener · 16/06/2023 20:10

Noah, Freddie, Charlie and Oscar are in the top 11 boys names this year, with Noah being at the top. You say you don't want something too common, but these are all super common so just worth thinking about. Luca is also 18th so there'll be a few of those around too.

Mason and Hugo definitely not as popular/common.

User1438423 · 16/06/2023 20:13

Agree they are probably more popular than you think. Use the Dark Greener names website took to check.

Louoby · 16/06/2023 20:16

Luca and Oscar
Luca and Charlie

bobby81 · 16/06/2023 20:17

Congratulations. I think Noah goes best with Luca.

DancingintheSpoonlight · 16/06/2023 20:18

Luca and Charlie stand out for me but is very popular.
Luca and Robbie? Luca and Toby? Luca and Reece?

Congrats!

snazzlealpaca · 16/06/2023 20:19

I like your names but they are very popular, particularly Noah and Charlie.

fairycupcakes · 16/06/2023 20:21

Joseph

KirstenBlest · 16/06/2023 20:51

I like:
-Mason - don't like it. OK as a surname but too close to May otherwise
-Freddie - ok
-Charlie - like

Husband likes:
-Hugo - like but too trendy
-Oscar - ok
-Noah - far too popular. No

I'd go for a different sounding name, and I'd name the younger child Luca.
Luca and Noah - they're a bit too rhymey
Luca and Hugo a bit too of the moment.

Not keen on Luca, sorry. There are lots of boys named Luca or Lucas and various spellings

From your list I'd go with Freddie and Charlie, or Hugo and Charlie, or Oscar and Charlie

jojo2202 · 16/06/2023 20:51

always said i'd call twin boys ronnie and reggie

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 16/06/2023 21:01

Prefer your dH choices with Hugo being my favourite

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 16/06/2023 21:02

When I saw Luca I thought Isaac. Noah is in the same genre, but I'd not have two "a" sounding names together.
