Name for a daughter

We are still at the beginning of this journey, but for a boy we've already settled on Max. The only thing we are unsure about is whether to put Max or Maximilian on the birth certificate. What do you think?

This is our list for girls:

Sadhbh
Elora
Pearl
May

Maximilian if your last name is short, Max if long. Or Maxwell or Maxim.

I like Max. Also like the welsh name Macsen with Macs for short. If between max and Maximilian I would stick to max

I think I might go with Maxwell for the birth certificate. Max seems too short but Maximilian too long and fussy.

Chloe - quite like it.
Sadhbh - I don't know how to say this so can't comment.
Elora - like it. I've never met one.
Pearl - not keen. It hasn't beaten old lady territory to me.
May - quite like it but seems more like a filler middle name than a name name.
Hope - like it
Jade - like it
Lily - quite like it but it's been so popular for so long that it's a bit boring.
Jane - not sure. I think I like it but it's very plain and old school middle namey.

I think Elora is my favourite. Followed by Hope then Jade.

Maximilian or Maximus maybe. Maxwell makes me think of the coffee.

I like Jane best of your girl names - it’s due a revival

Chloe - nice enough, quite popular
Sadhbh - is this said Sive? If so the no
Elora - too many El names / she’ll be one of many Ellies (also makes me think of an Italian person saying Now!)
Pearl - OK
May - way overdone, along with Maya
Hope - quite like, getting popular
Jade - too harsh
Lily - way overdone and a bit wet
Jane - very nice

Please tell me you're pronouncing Sadhbh ... one of my favourite names.... as Sigh -ve
Max is lovely... especially if it's short for something, such as Maxim ... etc

Definitely go for Max on birth certificate.

For a girl I like Jane classic and understated or Hope.

My friend has a Maximilian and was determined that he would always be called his full name...... all went wrong when he was about 8! He's been Max since then. He's 18 now and will not be called Maximilian.

Maxim is so lovely IMO.
The movie Booksmart made me love the name Hope! Lara and Elodie share similarities with the names on your list and are nice.
