Pearl, with this surname

Could you use Pearl if your surname starts with an ‘alla…’ sound? Pearl Allaway, for example?

Sounds awful when I say it out loud, but it might be my accent (NI)!

Many people use the term pearl clutching on MN as if being in shock. Obviously that refers to clutching onto your jewellery when watching upper class series like Emmerdale

We tend to say ‘older person’ now btw, geriatrics typically refers to a branch of medicine.
