Girls names help!

Expecting DD in a couple of months and really struggling with a girls name we both like. Typically, we had a boys names picked out but girls have us stumped!

I prefer short names, 4 or 5 letters, and nothing too girly or flowery, names that have been veto’d by DH are Robyn, Rhea, Cora.

DH has no preference in length or style at all really, although he said that the above names are pompous!? He tends to lean more towards ‘normal’ names as he would call them - think Millie, Chloe etc.

We’re at a bit of a stalemate so any suggestions would be great! I feel like I’ve looked at that many baby name sites that I’ve seen them all!

I'm personally not a fan of short names, since many of established short names are nicknames. I tried to list all established names, Cilla is nickname for Cecilia in some countries.

Thanks so much everyone! Loads of lovely names & plenty I hadn’t considered - I’ve got a whole new list to put to DH now, hopefully he agrees to some!

Thanks again, it really helps having another set of eyes or twenty giving suggestions rather than scrolling through sites that tend to show the same names 😊
