Yasmin or Jasmine. Maybe Jade.

Quietasamouuse · 23/05/2023 22:59

Eustacia, as I loved Thomas Hardy books.

My brother pointed out that it sounds like the tube in your middle ear, which dulled the glamour a little.

I named a black cat with a white blaze on her face after her.
Stacey for short.

spudulike1 · 25/05/2023 20:12

Thank god I didn't have a baby when I was 16. I was a real hippy. They would have been called Tranquility Bay, ocean etc

thatstheviewfromhere · 25/05/2023 21:56

Phoebe. I sat next to a girl in maths when I was about 12 and she was called Phoebe. I told her I loved her name and if I ever had a baby, I would call her Phoebe! I did have a little girl many years later and called her Phoebe. The girl from maths private messaged me on Facebook and said, I can't believe you stuck to your word all these years later 😊

animalcrossingfan2021 · 29/05/2023 20:58

Boy - Charlie or Oliver
Girl - Molly or Chelsea

CatkinToadflax · 29/05/2023 21:34

Katherine (that specific spelling) or Emily. Clearly it never occurred to me that I would have boys.

Although I was given a toy bear when I was about four and DS1 has the same name as the bear!

JenniferBarkley · 29/05/2023 22:08

I had two names I loved at about that age - Chloe, after Chloe in Home and Away. And a beautiful, unusual name I'd never come across in real life: Ava Grin A couple of decades on and Ava must be the most common choice among my acquaintances by far.

I did go on to have two daughters, neither name even made the long list.
