Ariana or Alexis

Far too frilly for my taste now.

Probably Jacinta or Sebastian.

16 in 93.

Would have gone for Amethyst, or January....

Did not go for either of those names for DD when I had her 16 years later.

However I do frequently wish I'd been more forceful with name choices as DH was dead keen on one name and I went with it. She suits it but I wish I'd pushed for something else.

A boy would have been Darius
A girl would have been Nikita

Cassandra, Beatrice or Renata. My dolls as a child were Jessica and Lucy. Like other posters, younger me never considered the possibility that I would have a boy!

Funnily enough I was thinking of this the other day. Our art teacher was pregnant and she went around the class asking for our favourite girl names. I remember saying Laura and she thought I said Nora and laughed at me.

Anyway, it would’ve been Laura or Lauren.
Didnt have a clue about boys names, and didn’t when I later had two boys.

Alathea and Storm for girls, Sean and Sebastian for boys. 18 year old me had the same girls names but had changed her boys names to Ocean and Blaze!

Very sadly none of my children have nature names. I was always overruled.

Dawn, I thought it was THE prettiest name ever. Exotic.

I really liked the name Star. I’m not sure where I got it from but I had that in mind for a while 😂

It’s the name of the girl (played by Jamie Gertz) in The Lost Boys. Was it from there?

I was going to have Daisy and Matthew. Still like those names, but not what I have chosen.

I like Matthew as I've never met an awful Matthew.

16-year-old me was going to have a son called Rhidian and a daughter called Freya Rhiannon. 34-year-old me, pregnant with a boy, wrote a list of about a hundred names, and DH vetoed every single one of them except Rhidian, so 16-year-old me got her way!

Hazel. Can't bear the name now!

Erin as I had a girl crush on Erin Gray, or Sapphire, as Sapphire and Steel was my cult viewing or maybe Jinny from my favourite books.
Buck for a boy 🤔

Anne Cordelia.

I had to replace my copy of Anne of the Island as the pages were falling out from reading it so often.

I was going to have a baby boy called George - I had a boy at 40, his middle name is George (and it was very nearly his first name).

Tahlia (not the proper spelling of Thalia), Poppy or Ashlea. I think I liked Monty for boys then but I might have been later teens then. I also wanted twins called Florence and Firenze. And had a thing for Kohl or Zephyr.

im confident if I’d actually had a baby I’d have been gently persuaded to use something like Elizabeth or James by my mum.

Zoey or Rhiana (before the singer Rihanna came on the scene). I think I planned boys as well but can't remember them.
I went on to have boys!
I'm quite amused that my own name has been mentioned as something teenage MNers would have wanted to use!
