Hi beauties!
Expecting twin girls anytime in the next 2 weeks, we’ve decided on names we like but can’t find names that go together or middle names to go with them.

The names we like are:
Maia (mae-ah)
Mimi
Tara
Nancy
Caidie (Kay-dee)
Cassie
Callie/Carrie
Dulcie
Harley
Honey
Indy
Lucinda

Sorry there’s so many!! I’m hoping to narrow it down from the help of everyone on this thread, thanks so much everyone!

I’d avoid Maia as it would be likely said as my-a same as Gaia or Kaia.
a lot of them are short versions of full names so I wouldn’t use them either. Caidie should be Cady.

Nancy is the nicest. Lucinda is the only other usable one on the list so I’d say those two

Threebeanburrito · 03/05/2023 22:55

Nancy or Tara are the best ones by far.

Maia is also pretty but I would pronounce it
Mi-ya

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/05/2023 22:58

I like Nancy, Cassie, Callie. I think middle can’t end in same sound. So could try Maia or Tara

Confusion101 · 03/05/2023 23:03

I like Cassie and Callie, and think they sound really cute together.

Middle names I think M names would sound nice with the C. Mae, Maria, Mags... If you are struggling with a middle name would you consider not giving one? We only used one as it is after a family member and first name is after a different family member so both families were represented. If it wasn't I wouldn't have bothered.

Tara Callie
Nancy Maia

SkaneTos · 03/05/2023 23:51

I didn't understand if the first names you've decided on are amongst the names listed?
Anyhow, of the names on your list I prefer Mimi, Nancy, Cassie, Callie, Carrie, Dulcie, and Lucinda. Dulcie is very cute, and not very common, I think?
Lucinda is a beautiful name!
And congratulations!

salamithumbs · 03/05/2023 23:54

I'd go for either Maia and Cassie, Maia and Carrie or Maia and Callie! I think they're all beautiful and they go together without being too matchy. My next favourites are Tara and Nancy, but much prefer Maia and Cassie/Callie/Carrie.
Honey and Dulcie sound very sickly sweet to me, and I can't imagine calling someone 'Honey' in a proper conversation, say at school or at work- I'd just feel as if I were saying 'darling' or 'sweetheart'. Mimi feels a bit twee and nicknamey too, but maybe nice as a nickname/pet name for Maia or even Mia?
Harley just sounds to me like a motorbike, and have only met boys with this name, not girls. Indy reminds me of an indie band (but maybe nice if short for India?). Not fussed on Lucinda but I do like Lucy.

I think Caidie would have a lot of spelling and pronunciation problems- too similar to Katie and Cady etc. My name's Katy and people constantly mispell it as Katie and misread it as Kathy- gets very wearing.

Middle name ideas: Maia Juliet and Cassie Aurelia /Rowena
Maia Juniper and Carrie Alessia/Elena
Maia Jasmine and Callie Athena

Inspired from your list...
Lucinda Honor - Lucy or Honey
Callidora Mae - Cally or Maisie
Dulcie Caroline - Dulcie or CeCe
Mimosa Nancy - Mimi
Cassie Lucinda
Tara Annabel
Mary Miranda - Mimi or Maisie
Honor Melissa - Honey bee

DuchessOfSausage · 04/05/2023 12:33

Like:
Tara
Nancy
Cassie
Callie/Carrie

Tara and Nancy
Tara Caroline and Nancy Cassandra

Don't like:
Caidie (Kay-dee) - looks made up and weird spelling
Maia (mae-ah) - will get mee-a
Mimi - Me Me
Dulcie - domum
Harley - ok for a golden retriever
Honey - ok for a golden retriever
Indy - newspaper
Lucinda - Lucy is lovely, Lucinda isn't. Cindy is nice though

ourflagmeansdeath · 04/05/2023 18:26

Caidie is nicer spelt Cady imo

fairycupcakes · 04/05/2023 22:54

Firstly congratulations! 💕

Of your list I like Cassie, Callie and Indie (spelt this way, I don’t like the Indy spelling)

Cassie & Indie
Callie & Indie

Cassie & Callie together are way too samey unless you went for something like Cassandra & Calliope? Indie could also have a long version- India, Indira, Indigo?

Full names using your list ☺️:

Cassie Lucinda
Indie Tara
Callie Maia
