Which spelling?

Which spelling do you think works better / have you come across more?

Adaline or Adeline to be pronounced Add-uh-line

I'm not sure which is the original / more natural spelling?

I've only ever seen Adeline. Perhaps some would pronounce Adaline as Ada-line.

Adeline is the better spelling but the name isn't very nice - sounds like a railway for snakes, the Adder Line
