Baby names of friends - Thoughts

So, a bit of a weird question, but let's say you have a baby and you named her/him A.

Then, you, of course, have friends that get also babies and they name them X,Y,Z...etc.

Do you wonder why they named their babies with this name, which name they have choses was obviously not good enough for you as you would have chosen it if it was good enough for you, but you preferred name A. or you never go into such thoughts?

No I always assumed it was just personal preference. The same way we all go on holiday to different places or wear different clothes.

I think you are overthinking things! People can name their children however they like, and don't need to consult with friends.

Kind of. A friend called their daughter "R" a while ago.. it was a name we had considered and then discounted (as thought it more a boy's name). Now actually having met baby girl R, I think it's great on a girl!

Mostly just personal taste though 🤷
