I heard it on the bus the other day and thought it was really pretty.

Sounded like: lay-UHN

lay as in "May, pay, bay, Kayleigh etc.". It wasn't Leanne.

Ideas?

Sounds a bit like Léon pronounced the French way, but you saying 'not Leanne's makes me think it was a girl's name?

There is Layan of Arabic origin? I thi know that's pronounced - lay- an rather than un.

Thanks, that might be the one! But the second syllable was more uhn or ahn not like Anne/Ann.

Could it have been Leyah Ann?
Leyah - a variant of Leah and Ann, pronounced Ahn.
Or Leah Anne - all pronounced with an accent?
