Middle name for Theodora?

Help! We have settled on Theodora (Thea) for our daughter, due in a month.

The only middle name I can come up with is Celeste, but I'm not sure if it all sounds a bit airy fairy put together? I love unusual names and DH is pretty flexible.

Our surname begins with an N, two syllables.

Any ideas welcome!

Was just coming on to say Jane ...

KirstenBlest · 21/04/2023 12:54

Go with Celeste. I know too many Sarah/Emma/Laura Janes.

If you like names beginning with C:
Theodora Clara
Theodora Celine
Theodora Calista

But I like Theodora Louise, think it sounds lovely together.

Roarsomemore · 21/04/2023 13:09

Agree with C name. Claire

I think Celeste goes really well. I really don't like Theodora - just makes me think dopey dora - so I would just go for Thea which I love.

Really? Apart from being every other girl's middle name and done to death and beyond, it sounds dreadful following the 'r' heavy first name.

KirstenBlest · 21/04/2023 18:11

@halfsiesonapotnoodle , and it sounds like Theodore Arose

I think a 1 syllable name sounds best. I like the sound of Kate, Jade and Grace.

alternatively Alice, Rosemary or Lisette

It's a classic for a reason. It sounds ace.

Bookshipper · 21/04/2023 19:37

And in a few years time it'll still have appeal and won't instantly be dated.

fairycupcakes · 21/04/2023 19:39

I think one syllable as Theodora is so many and it becomes quite a mouthful of a full name with Celeste and then your surname.

I’ll suggest;

Theodora Joy
Theodora June
Theodora Joan
Theodora Jean

oh Theodora Joy sounds beautiful.

Much prefer Thea to Theodora though, which would then be nice with Celeste middle name

Thea Celeste
