Samuel is too similar to the end of James and George to similar to the beginning.

Emily and Samuel

They're all fine names. Can I add Emma to the mix if you like Emily?

17caterpillars1mouse · 18/04/2023 17:44

I would choose James and Samuel - I actually like the name Rowan best but itsits a completely different style to James. Samuel seems more suited

For girls I like Anna best

I read the title of your thread and thought Eleanor before opening it up so that gets my vote!

I know brothers called James and Edward and I think that pairing goes very well.

Cormoransjacket · 18/04/2023 20:30

Roundaboutabee, you have fantastic taste in names.

CharlieBoo · 18/04/2023 21:48

Alice definitely! Charlotte, Lucy, Sophie also work well with James.

George or Edward love them both x

James and ..

Eleanor or Alice or Anna
Edward or George

wingsofabird · 21/04/2023 20:36

Nice lists @Frogcube

For boys I think Edward, Samuel or George would work really well with James as they're all classic strong names. Rowan is really trendy at the moment - opposite vibe to James - and is too similar to Roman which is now in the top 20 names so I'd avoid a name so similar.

For girls I actually love all your options! Can't go wrong there. I think my favourite is Emily or Anna

saltandpepper86 · 22/04/2023 05:51

the 2 James I know have brothers/sisters called:

Daniel
Ella
Edward

from the names you suggested I like

Eleanor
Alice
Emily
Anna
Clara

Edward
Samuel
Rowan
Reuben
George

autienotnaught · 22/04/2023 06:33

James and George is too much j sound.

Not keen on Rowan, Reuben or Eleanor

Twizbe · 22/04/2023 07:21

I have a James. My top boy and girl names for baby 2 were Eleanor and Frederick.

Didn't end up using either though as when DD was born she just didn't fit Eleanor.

OneCup · 22/04/2023 07:49

I like all your girls names, particularly Eleanor. Boy name wise, I only like Samuel and

OneCup · 22/04/2023 07:49

Reuben
