What do you think of the names Summer and Kailey (like kay-lee)?

They're not on our list but teen-favourites of mine so I was curious ;)

I like summer. Not keen on Kaylee

I know a few people called summer but to me it's not a proper name. I don't like kayley either.

I like Summer. It’s quite acceptable now, I’d say, ie not completely out there.

I like Summer! It was on our long list but DH vetoed it. Not a fan of Kailey.

I work in schools and have met some cheeky Summers! Not met a Kaylee for years but it makes me think of Ceilidhs

I have a Summer 😊(who’s now a teen)! I am biased, but I love her name.

I love the name Summer but not Kailey (at all).

I know a Summer who's 13 and her name really suits her. I actually love the name Autumn as well.

With regards to Summer, I do think it’s strange on a child not born in Summer. The one I know is born in deepest darkest Winter which I thought was an unusual choice despite it being a beautiful name!

Summer if I had to choose, but I’m not a fan of either to be honest.

They are okay names, I just feel like there are prettier names out there.

I’m not a fan of the name Kailey or any of the other spellings, I just think it’s plain and boring and not a very nice sound, and I associate the name with someone who wasn’t very pleasant.

I haven’t heard of a Kaylee/Kayleigh or Summer in years, so they are less common now.

Summer the meaning is nice but I think it's a bit naff as a first name
