I added lately a middle name to my child and the initials spell JAM. What do you think? Is that ok?

Of course it's ok - why wouldn't it be?!

Of course it’s ok! No-one will bat an eyelid - and how many times do you actually write your initials?

FetlocksBlowing · 08/04/2023 10:32

Could even be a cute nick name 😊

It's absolutly fine, but if it's a boy then all his mates will call him Jam.

or possibly some variation on Strawberry

If it’s a girl (traditionally more likely to change their surname on marriage) remember this may be JAW or JAB or JAP but these aren’t offensive/ mickey-taking either.

Thank you so much. I am overthinking it way too much and even loosing my sleep.

Pretty sure they won't. I don't know many people that disclose their middle names to people other than in official documents.

SoupDragon · 08/04/2023 10:43

I think it's fine. Even the potential nicknames would be fine.

If it was something like BUM you shouldn't do it but I think JAM is fine.

Jam is sweet. He'll love it.
