A few boy names

What are your thoughts on the following boys names please?

Gideon
Brody
Caspian
Marcus

They’re not to my taste but they’re certainly all unique which is nice!

Like Gideon, Marus is nice enough.
Caspian just reminds me of the sea.
Brody is awful.

Gideon - really like it and underused
Brody - really don’t like it, more for a dog..
Caspian - ok but prefer Cassian
Marcus - perfectly nice

I like Marcus but it getting shorted to mark would put me off it.

I like Marcus, but really don't like any of the others.

Gideon - bit much, sounds like giddy-up
Brody - meh
Caspian - love
Marcus- ok

Marcus is a bit dull

I love Gideon! I don’t have kids yet but if I ever have a boy that’s what I’d call him (if my partner agrees!)

Gideon - Giddy? Dislike
Brody - Dislike
Caspian - OK but a bit Narnian
Marcus - like

Gideon - love Gideon
Brody - not awful but not my favourite from your list
Caspian - I love the nickname Cass and like Caspian
Marcus - Marcus is fine but dull

Unique? Not at all. Have a look at ons lists and you'll see how often they're used.

I like them all, particularly Caspian.

Gideon - I don't mind it, not to my taste but it either makes me think of Neil Patrick Harris' son or the character from Hetty Feather!
Brody- It's okay, a little too close tk broody for me
Caspian- Lovely name, makes me think of Narnia
Marcus - It's quite nice 😊

My favourite would be Caspian

Caspian and Gideon and Marcus are perfectly handsome, solid, boys' names. I prefer Mark to Marcus.
(I think it is a Mr Mark Darcy thing.)
Brody is not attractive to me.

@Bienemajas each to their own in their views, from my personal experience I haven’t come across any in the schools or nurseries locally and certainly they are not popular names in my part of the country.

But 'unique' means literally only a single one. A name that has never been used before...!

All those names are fairly popular even if you've not personally met one

Marcus is the best of a bad bunch.
Gideon and Caspain are hideous and I know too many dogs called Brody (they're very nice dogs but it suits them more than it would a grown man)
