What do you think of Annabel? And would you spell it that way or Annabelle? Thanks!

It's not my favourite, but it is nice! I prefer Annabel.

It's pretty. I'd spell it Annabel, the other way is far too frilly for me.

Annabel, it’s quite frilly anyway, doesn’t need any extras. It’s quite nice.

it’s ok, but a bit pony club. The rumour is the Sarah Ferguson wanted to use it for Beatrice but was told it just wouldn’t do.

I prefer Annabelle, spelling wise. Annabel looks unfinished.

Conversely, I think Isabelle looks overly fussy and Isabel is the preferable spelling.

I’d spell it Annabelle, it’s the only way I’ve ever seen it written. Also Annabel looks unfinished and my phone keeps trying to autocorrect to Annabelle so I’m assuming that’s the more common spelling. It’s a nice name.

My daughter is Annabel. When I looked it up that’s the traditional way to spell it so I went with that. It’s a lovely name, obviously. And she wasn’t into pony club either!

Annabelle is French and pronounced AnnaBELLE. If you're not French it's indeed very 'unclassy'

But beware that many people mis-spell it as Anabel, Anabell, Annabell etc
