Eden or Ella?

Having a hard time deciding babygirl's name still...

Ellen is very sweet

I've only known a man called Eden. It rhymes with Aiden so sounds like a boy's name to me. Ella is overused imo.

Ella is nice but I knew a girl called Ella at school and she used to get called Smella Ella or Ellie the Bellie (she wasn’t smelly or overweight, people are just dicks!).

Eden is very fresh and modern but familiar sounding. I love Edie as a nickname. It also sounds strong and sturdy as opposed to Ella which is a little frilly sounding.

Both lovely, but I prefer Ella. I probably would have a daughter called Ella but it’s too similar to my own name.

I have an Eden.
We have met two others, one male, one female. So definitely not overly popular!

I like Eden and Ella is ok.
I also like Etta. I know one and she definitely rocks the name.

Personally not a fan of Eden, I know a few so I know it's popular right now but I have always much preferred it for a boy. Ella is beautiful so I would go with that. I also love Edith as an alternative?

Eden is a man's name.

Is it? I'm a teacher so have seen l thousands and thousands of kids. Not many Edens though - but all of them have been girls.

I know a 16 yo Eden and a 14yo Ella
