Hi all. I just recently had a baby boy and are struggling to settle on a name for him. I like unique names but also think for a boy, it is important that they have a name they grow with and suits them as a man also.

Men...
If you love your name, what is it?

If you could change your name to any other, what would you choose?

Any woman who ask their partners etc above question, what did they answer?

Thank you 🤗

Thor. I hope he's joking. Although I do know a Thorsten who gets shortened to Thor.

My adult son is Max.
Suited him as a baby , a little boy, a teenager .
Now a tall bearded bloke .
And as he gets older , its still a good name
DH chose it and we both thought "Yes"
And Max is pretty cool with it , not too many Maxs about

I know a Thor, he has (to my knowledge) no Scandinavian connections and name as chosen because as a baby he was not expected to survive.

He was a fighter, pulled through and his parents felt that it was the only name deserving of him

As an adult he still measures up, but it would be pretty outing to point out some examples why

I asked got a very unenthusiastic "I don't know. I don't really care. What would you pick?'

Partner said James, but when he was a child he really really wanted to be called Mowgli
