Craig, meaning 'rock'.

EveSix · 16/03/2023 07:14

I actually like it.
Also considered Taiga for DC years ago; grew up in it, so connection to home.

I have a Sims family where the eldest child is called Canyon! My naming theme was it had to be vaguely nature themed and begin with the next letter of the alphabet (the parents are called Ash and Blossom). So the younger kids are:

Devon (Dev)
Ember (Emmy/Em)
Forrest (For)
Gulliver (Gully)
Hadassah (Haddie)

Nice but it looks like Crayon at first glance. Using a K will take that away. I'm not normally a fan of changing a c-word to a k but in this case, it will be for the best.

It definitely won’t

Arête
Tarn
Moraine - the geography feature not the sheep disease

Mactaser · 16/03/2023 09:57

But seriously, it’s the hormones OP. Look for names with similar vibes like River or even Morse which is less polarising than Endeavour.

Chersfrozenface · 16/03/2023 10:25

Arête! Thanks the one I was trying to remember.

Also
Cirque
Col
Cleaver (yes, really)
Couloir

Canyon - Spanish = footpath
Marden - English = valley with the pool

Just remember the cute baby will become an adult applying for jobs - if selecting a solicitor, an accountant etc - who would you choose? The one with the the odd name or the one with the traditional trusted name ... we are human and we make judgements on these things, we certainly did when I worked in he sifting job applications, not saying it's right, I'm saying it happens

Canyon is a lovely word. It's not a name though is it?

Cameron would be my suggestion as it sounds very similar but is a name.

Vitriolinsanity · 17/03/2023 10:10
