Zach or Louis?
aintitfun · 13/03/2023 21:04
Which one do you prefer?
17caterpillars1mouse · 13/03/2023 21:17
Zach though i prefer it as a shortening for Zachary
SemperIdem · 13/03/2023 22:25
Louis pronounced Loo-ee or Lewis? If the former, then I prefer it to Zach, if the latter then I prefer Zach.

Louis …wish I had used this name for one of my sons.it’s so lovely.
Twoinapod · 14/03/2023 04:52
Louis has the pronunciation issues. Is it louie or Lewis? Lewis isn’t too bad, Louie is dreadful, cute for a toddler but not a teen/grown man. Zach is fine
Tiggy321 · 14/03/2023 05:19
Louis but pronounced Louie not Lewis which is terrible. My eldest son is Louis and luckily we now live in a French speaking country so his name is perfect!
Reddahlias · 14/03/2023 07:58
Louis is often pronounced Lou-is
Zachary is ok but I don't like Zach as a nickname - it sounds unfinished
PearlClutzsche · 14/03/2023 12:07
Louis, but only if it's pronounced correctly.
Zach is nice, but should be short for Zachary.
Luredbyapomegranate · 16/03/2023 08:10
Zach, but ideally short for Zachary or Zachariah
Louis is a bit wet
DuchessOfSausage · 16/03/2023 08:24
I read Zach as Zatch.
If the choice was Zac (short for Zachary) or Louis, I'd choose Zac, but it isn't, so I'd say Louis.
Both names a bit too current for me, and both with more than one spelling.
I don't like Louie.

I think Louis is cute and very French (nothing wrong with the French part but I do think it suits children better than adults). If you want it pronounced Lewis I'd spell it that way ( you didn't say you did, just some people pronounce it differently).
I like Zachary shortened to Zach/Zac.
