Twin brother for Alex

Hello everyone, I'm pregnant with mo/di twin boys. I already started thinking about baby names. I've fallen in love with the name Alex, just that not Alexander and husband is on board. However we struggle to find another name that we like as much. I love Felix, but I'm not sure about Alex and Felix. Isn't it too matchy? Husband just thinks of cats when I mention Felix lol. Another option is Alex and Luca, which I think flows quite well. The last name we came up with is Ben. However I've always liked Benjamin more, and shortening it to Ben just because Alex is a short name feels wrong. What do you think about these combos? I'm still searching for simple boy names with european feel and would love to hear your suggestions. Thank you. 🙂

I don't like Rene. Is that pronounced 'reen' or René (Renay). I think it's a bit girly in English.

Alex is good - simple, classic
I know it's another 'x' but I think Max sounds good with Alex.

@ODFOx funny you mentioned Dominic. It's my husband's name just spelled Dominik.

@Yesthatismychildsigh mo/di means that the babies are identical twins who share the same chorion sac but have separate amnions sac while in the womb. Basically they're only sharing the internal sac.

I would go for Alexander and Benjamin even if you always call him Alex. I know a teenage Alex and he hates the fact he hasn't got the long version of the name. Hates that it's a unisex name. He's the reason I would always recommend that people put the full version of a name on a birth certificate. Even if it's never used I think it gives the person more options.

Yes, this! I've got the short version of a more formal name and I get so sick of explaining no its just X.

Alex and Luca is a lovely set of names for twin boys. That gets my vote

A few other ideas

Alex and Sam
Alex and Ezra
Alex and Liam
Alex and Rowan
Alex and Leo

Change it to Name and Alex. Twin will otherwise always be below Alex in a list.
Put Alexander on the BC, even if you will only ever call him Alex.

Luca seems too trendy to go with Alex. Not keen on it
Alistair and Alex is the equivalent of Luke and Lucas.

I'd go with Ben and Alex. Both nice names
