Not keen on any names from your first list. Some are totally dire. I like Lily and Grace from your second list.

Rylie - I like it actually but prefer Riley. Rylee is also a spelling I've seen.
Nieve - I much prefer Neve or Niamh.
Millie - I think it's quite sweet!
Olivia - I dislike nickname Liv, but the name is alright
Nyla - It's okay
Elise - I dislike this due to the many alternate spellings
Ayla - Sounds like ailment
Alys - Really pretty in my opinion
Gwen - I love Gwen, especially as a nickname for longer forms.
Halle - Only as Hallie
Noa - Lovely! I think it's great.

Elis - No - although is Elise really that different of a name??
Lily - Nice
Pippa - I reallyyy love Pippa sad you can't use it
Aria - Same as Pippa!
Grace - I like it

My favourites from your first list are Alys and Gwen, and then the second list are Pippa and Aria.

Millie

Gwen is my favourite there.
Inspired by your list I like ...
Gwen Millicent
Gwen Camilla
Camilla Gwen - Millie or Milla or

I love Alys.

Suggestion - Elin.

I really like Noa, Ayla and Hallie (but spelt like this with the 'I' - without it looks odd to me, sorry!). I also like Niamh, but spelt this way, and Elise. Not such a fan of Rylie as it feels a bit dated nowadays.

Other suggestions:
Callie
Winter
Wren
Madeleine

Congratulations!

I love Gwen! It's really cute but will suit an older lady too

@daisypond , Is Nieve a Welsh name?
No. There is no V in Welsh. F in Welsh is always a V sound, but FF is a separate letter, and always has a PH sound.
Welsh is phonetic, so Nieve/Niefe would be Nee-eh-veh. (bordering on Naeveh Smile)
Niamh has a Welsh equivalent, Nia (Nee-ah)

Oh, yes, of course, thank you. I did know that Welsh hasn’t a V, but I forgot.

From your list I like Neve, Alys and Halle, but Halle Millie doesn't really flow well. And I think millie is a lovely middle name idea for honouring both grandmothers.

Based on your lists:
Carys/Cerys
Piper
Eira

BridieConvert · 05/03/2023 22:16

Rylie - no
Nieve - lovely name but strange spelling, would forever be spelling it out
Millie - overused now but seeing your reasoning I like this as a middle name
Olivia - too common
Nyla - not a fan
Elise - LOVE
Ayla - lovely, will always get people pronouncing and/or spelling it wrong
Alys - lovely :)
Gwen - also lovely :)
Halle - fine
Noa - not a fan

Could you call her Millicent. Such a beautiful name and honouring both grandma's. It is not a name l have come across often..love it.
