Brother for Benjamin?

Hello everyone, I'm currently pregnant with my second boy with due date in September. I already have one son called Benjamin West who will be two when baby arrives. Choosing his name was super easy because I've always loved Benjamin and middle name West was passed down from SO. This baby's name is so much harder!

We both love Luca but we're worried that it's too short together with Benjamin. Other names that we like are Darius, Felix, Rene, Vincent (or maybe Vince?). I would love to honour my mom who's name is Sylvia but I can't find a name that fits since our last name begins with an S and it feels super matchy. I thought of Sylvan, Silas, Silvius, Silvano.. nothing works lol. Other option is honouring my grandmother (Viera) with the name Vero. Is it too matchy with West??

Would love to hear your opinions and some suggestions! I like names with an european feel since I'm myself from Europe. :)

Daniel West sounds like an aspiring new actor's name 👍

Before I read the second part of your post I was thinking Lucas! So Luca would work perfectly 😊

I love Vero. I live in Europe and have a Benjamin (who is my youngest).

All of his siblings have one syllable names. It never even crossed my mind. They just are who they are, and the names all go together because we are a family. End of.

Good luck choosing a name that you love!

Darius, Felix, and Vincent would go really well with Benjamin. I'd use the full name Vincent for the birth cert.

Suggestions:
Joseph
Reuben
Nathaniel
Theodore
Raphael
Elijah
Thaddeus
Barnaby

Sylvia / sylvan refers to woods or forest. Would you use Forest as a middle name?

Viera / Vero isn't matching with West unless your W is pronounced as a V.
I think Vero is lovely.

Raphael, Michael, Jonathan. All strong heritage names that chime with Benjamin. Why not use Silver as a standalone middle name. Or Forrest, Ash, Rowan if you like the woodland connection.

Luca's lovely! Don't think it's too short for Benjamin, especially if your one goes by Ben/Benji. Even if he doesn't, they're siblings, I don't think people pay much attention as to whether one name is longer or the other. Benjamin and Luca is great to me.
