SallyWD · 27/02/2023 17:47

soleilblue · 27/02/2023 17:56

I think its awful sorry

goldenfoliage · 27/02/2023 17:57

Vastly prefer Romilly nn Milly, but I don't mind it too much

KirstenBlest · 27/02/2023 18:15

Not keen on it

Twoinapod · 27/02/2023 18:39

I don’t like it, have only ever heard it said Rom-ee don’t like either way

recklessgran · 27/02/2023 18:42

I also adore Romilly but think you'll struggle with your preferred pronunciation of Romy as I do think most people will say Rom-ee not Roe-me. Congratulations by the way!!

TidyDancer · 27/02/2023 18:46

I think it's lovely. The way you wish to pronounce seems to be the standard/common way ime so I'd be surprised if you found any trouble with this. I've actually never even heard of the other pronunciation!

Reddahlias · 27/02/2023 19:19

I know a Romy pronounced Rom-y (rather than Roam-y). I like it.

Reddahlias · 27/02/2023 19:21

How is Romilly pronounced? Rom-ill-ee?

QueSyrahSyrah · 27/02/2023 19:22

I love it, and would definitely only pronounce it Roe-me.

Reddahlias · 27/02/2023 19:39

Romy Schneider definitively pronounced it Rom-y

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/02/2023 20:38

Meh and faddy

Romilly is a bit better

UsingChangeofName · 27/02/2023 20:54

I'm not keen, and if it effects your choice, I've not seen it before and I said "Rom-ee" in my head. So I presume I'm not the only one, which might mean your ds(?) / dd (?) might get fed up of people pronouncing it differently.

user1492757084 · 27/02/2023 23:38

Romy = Rome -ee
If you like it, use it. It is not offensive. It's sweet.

GHxx · 27/02/2023 23:40

I love it and also love Remy. Recently heard the name Renn (with that spelling) too and loved it, all the R names are beautiful

Vodababy · 28/02/2023 21:58

I know someone with a daughter called Romy. It's nice but I think Romany gypsy when I hear it (sorry)

xprincessxjanetx · 01/03/2023 01:45

Not one that i'm keen on personally

Pinkfluff95 · 01/03/2023 08:52

Yeah my partner isn't convinced either ngl. I'm on my 3rd dd now so it's getting that much harder to find ones we both like 🙈

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 01/03/2023 13:51

Much prefer Romilly.

KirstenBlest · 01/03/2023 15:38

I don't like Romilly at all.
