Sibling for Cadi

Expecting a little boy in June. Seriously clashing on name ideas with DH. He loves Elis, I'm not too keen. We did agree on Calan for the past week but now he says he doesn't really like it (struggling with the pronounciation/likeness to Callum)

We would both prefer a Welsh name but we don't really like any haha. Celtic/Gaelic names are a plus too. Also one syllable would be great as we have a weird surname which clashes easily.

A compromise can also be a non-Welsh name, but spelled Welsh

His actual name is a “c” name and his brother, if we ever have one, is an “I” name. Also got a nice girls one narrowed down finally I think!

I really like Calan by the way

Elis is lovely. There's a pharmacist with that name in my home village and he is just the nicest person so for me is has really positive associations.

I'd second Macsen from a pp.

Cadi is lovely too by the way!

I was nearly named Ceri to reflect my dad's Welsh heritage but my Irish grandma vetoed it 🙄

Osian is a beautiful name . I love Calan too!

I do like Elis and it goes nicely with Cadi. Macsen (Macs) from a PP is a great shout.

Thanks everyone! If it was my choice it would be Macsen but other half can't take to it. I am coming around to Elis I just can't work out why I'm not loving it, it's a lovely name. Just not getting that wow factor I did when we chose the name Cadi. Still hoping I can win on Calan!
