I don't much like Hunter but it's better than Skylar.

I really like Hunter and I'm generally not in favour of American style or surname names! Not so keen on Skylar.

Reminds me of a series of books I read when I was a teenager. Hunter and his sister(?) Sky.

Skyler/Skyla isn't great for girls but I've only heard it on girls.
Hunter is too surnamey for me, and might get shortened to Hun or Hunt.

I've only come across Skyler spelt that way as a girl's name. I knew a guy called Schuyler (spelt that way, said the same as Skyler) and that seems a little more unisex/male - a nightmare to spell though!

I know a Skyler who is female. I don't think I'd choose it for a boy.

When I read the thread I thought this was for a boy and a girl. So yeah, if it's between the two then Hunter. Don't like Skyler much for a girl either, but it is genuinely awful for a boy.
