Can’t decide which is favourite!

Either Phoebe or Cora for me. I'd probably go Cora!

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 31/01/2023 12:02

Phoebe is lovely, Cora is ok, and I really don't like Heidi....

DeadButDelicious · 31/01/2023 12:02

I am biased, but Phoebe is a lovely name. Suits a little girl and grown woman. And from my experience it's not immensely popular at the moment but common enough that people know how to spell it etc. I also love Heidi. Not a massive fan of Cora.

Helpnoname · 31/01/2023 12:19

Love Phoebe and Cora!

Ilikecoffeecake · 31/01/2023 12:35

Cora, lovely name

MaverickGooseGoose · 31/01/2023 13:30

Cora

SixBucksAndMyRightNut · 31/01/2023 13:37

Cora. Phoebe will get shortened to Feebs and Heidi just reminds me of hillsides and yodelling goats.

CakeRattleandRoll · 31/01/2023 13:38

Another vote for Cora.

DurdleSnore · 31/01/2023 13:39

Three of my favourite names, I’d be in your shoes too! I’d probably go for Cora but it would be tight. Good luck picking.

Moonrisewater · 31/01/2023 14:02

I also love all 3 names. Phoebe is my favourite though, followed by Cora and then Heidi.

Nap1983 · 31/01/2023 14:10

Cora is lovely, Pheobe is meh and I’m not keen on Heidi

same.
Heidi is very cutesy for me.

NeedAHoliday2021 · 31/01/2023 14:12

I love Heidi but I have one. For me it’s a classic name but not over used so still sounds slightly unique. She’s 11 now and just the loveliest little girls. I like phoebe too but less keen on Cora.

Ooh thank you for replying; good to hear from someone who has a Heidi! Does your DD like her name? Does it get good reception from others, school friends etc? Thanks 😊

@Indecisivemamabear she does love her name. Her 2 nicknames are Roo (I called her Heidi-Roo as a baby so sometimes call her Roo or Roo-Roo now) and her sister calls her Dee-Dee occasionally. She was named after a bonkers little 4 year old we met one year at the airport. She was so happy and giggly and cute and when we learned her name dh lent over and whispered “if our next baby is a girl can she be called Heidi?” She’s Heidi Matilda. We’ve only had compliments but I guess most people don’t tell you if they don’t like it.

LaLuz7 · 31/01/2023 14:36

Cora, by a mile

fortifiedwithtea · 31/01/2023 14:38

Our dog is called Phoebe. It was 62nd most popular name for a boxer when she was a puppy. 3 years and I still struggle with the spelling Get the oe the wrong way round and daughter pulls me up on it. Also gets shortened down to Pheebz.

Out of your name choices I like Phoebe the best but these are the pit fallls.

SallyWD · 31/01/2023 14:43

Phoebe then Cora then Heidi.
I never understand why Heidi is so popular on MN. It seems like a silly name to me (sorry, don't mean to offend any Heidis!).
Maybe my judgement is clouded. I went to school with 3 Heidis in the 80s/90s and all 3 of them were really unpleasant. They all had horrible "wet" perms, wore too much make up and gold jewellery and were really mean.
I'm sure there are plenty of lovely Heidis around.

Irishfarmer · 31/01/2023 15:47

My fav is Cora, I like the others too, Heidi, then Phoebe

Luredbyapomegranate · 31/01/2023 22:19

I like Cora and Phoebe.

I’d go for Cora as less popular right now.

Heidi is a wee bit twee and a wee bit porny

BridieConvert · 31/01/2023 22:22

Cora for me!

dmb91 · 31/01/2023 22:22

Cora ❤️

everythingsapickle · 31/01/2023 22:23

Phoebe or Cora. Maybe Phoebe just takes first place for me, but it’s a tough one.
I’m not keen on Heidi.

mothercockrel56 · 31/01/2023 22:28

Cora and Phoebe are both beautiful! Heidi is also quite nice but Phoebe and Cora better. If you want something more unique I'd say cora but if you want to keep it timeless I'd go with Phoebe. Bare in mind you can still use either as a middle name if you decide not to use it for first. Best wishes
