Are Fraser and Foster to similar?

I have a DS Fraser and DD Darcie
currently looking at names for baby number 3 and me and DP can’t decide on many names that we both like. The only one we both like at the moment is Foster-Jude but after discussing it with my parents they said that Foster and Fraser were way to similar. We kind of see where they are coming from but think they are different enough.
We have no other name options if baby number 3 is a boy and don’t know what to do

What about Dawson?

Foster is pretty bad mate, don’t do it. Fergus is ok.

DH seems to have/had more input than you in your DC names. If you have to go with the six letter thing then I think Harris would go lovely with Fraser.

Dreadful. Foster child. Why not go the whole hog and call him Adopted? It’s nice, it’s different, it’s unusual.

This is the BEST thread I've read in a very long time! 😂😂😂Thank you to all the PPs - you've certainly brightened up my night!

Foster? Please don't name your child after a beer brand.

Your parents were helpful to alert you. Yes, they are right.

Fraser and Darcie are attractive and smart. You would want another nice name to add to the family.

Fraser, Darcie and ...

Lionel Jude
Caspar Jude
Thomas Jude
Cedric Jude
Austin Jude
Berton Jude
Hubert Jude
Hector Jude

Foster is a low end type of beer.

Or referring to children who have been removed from their parents.

It's also very similar to Frazer.

Jude is lovely. Why does it need to be six letters? You're painting yourself into a corner with that rule.

is Fraser and Fergus again to similar?

I don't think so.

There's the F in common but I get a different vibe from each name. The GUS part of Fergus does it maybe? Hard to explain. Fraser to me is a suave Scottish sort. Fergus is more of an Irish rugby player.
