These are the ones I like the most

Isabella
Sofia

George
Frederick

All the names on your list are nice but my favourites are Annabel and Frederick. Sienna is pretty too.

KirstenBlest · 29/01/2023 14:34

Popularity is only an issue if you think he/she'll mind always being one of several with the name. All of the names on your list are popular, some a bit overused.

Isabella - pretty but long. Will be shortened
Sofia - prefer Sophia. both spelling very popular.
Sienna - not keen
Annabel - ok. Annabelle spelling is popular. prefer Anna
Aurelia - not keen
Freya - not keen. Makes me think of frayed or affray

Sebastian - Will be shortened. Not keen
Felix - not keen, but it's not awful
George fine
Frederick - Will be shortened. Not keen on Fred

Thank you all - you have helped me narrow down to

Isabella (I don’t mind Bella as a nm)
Sophia
Annabel (Ana or Belle as a nm)
George
Frederick (Freddie as a nm)

Still tricky to choose. My DH likes all of them! Any comments on the above to help me out would be much appreciated 😊

I love Isabella and George

Wrongsideofpennines · 29/01/2023 17:07

I like Annabel. I think its less common than some of the others but still well known. And Frederick is a good choice. I think his name can evolve as he gets older and can be Freddie as a child and Fred as a teenager/adult.

There is also nothing wrong with having a few and deciding which suits your baby once they're here.

17caterpillars1mouse · 29/01/2023 17:11

Isabella - it's ok. I prefer the simplicity of Isobel personally. I quite like Bella though

Sofia - nice enough. This is my preferred spelling

Sienna - not a fan at all

Annabel - lovely name and I've actually never met one

Aurelia - faddy. Not a fan

Freya - lovely but they are everywhere which makes it lose its appeal for me

Sebastian - I like it, but not keen on Seb. I like Basti but can understand the problems with it

Felix - cat name to me

George - I really dislike, but I know most people love it

Frederick - I like Frederick alot but I'm not a fan of Freddie. Fred is ok. It could grow on me

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 29/01/2023 17:21

I would advise against Frederick personally. I go to a lot of different baby groups and there is always always at least one Freddie, if not two. They're are quite a few Sophia/Sofias and Isabellas too. George and Aurelia crop up, Sebastian and Annabel less so. Never met a Felix or a Sienna.

CherryAndCreamCake · 29/01/2023 17:51

Isabella - lovely, v popular, prefer Isobel
Sofia - nice, bit overused
Sienna - meh, kind of name you might see on character in TOWIE
Annabel - ok
Aurelia - ok, bit try hard
Freya - fine
Sebastian - nice
Felix - ok
George - ok
Frederick - nice

LadyWithLapdog · 29/01/2023 17:54

All lovely names. I prefer Isabella and Sebastian from your list but they are all very nice.

Kt4u · 29/01/2023 22:16

Thank you ever so much everyone, really grateful. My current list is looking much more manageable 😄

I’d go for Annabel and Sebastian

I like the others too, but they are really done to death (other than Felix, which I don’t like much)

Mumofgirls2017 · 30/01/2023 08:58

Nice list. My picks would be Annabel, Aurelia, Felix or Frederick

Kt4u · 30/01/2023 16:53

Thank you so much - think we are decided Annabel /Sebastian 😄 Just middle name to decide now. Never thought picking a name would be quite so difficult!
